               How to Get AD User Group Membership Reports


1. Open the PowerShell on your Domain controller → Run the following script, specifying the username for the account you’re interested in and the path to export:

Get-ADPrincipalGroupMembership <Username> | select name, groupcategory, groupscope | export-CSV C:\data\ADUserGroups.csv




2. Open the file produced by the script in MS Excel.

How to install or modify a local printer by user. Please find below steps to provide permission to individual users.
Steps :
To install or to modify a local printer:
  • You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group into Server.
  • You must be logged on as a member of the Power Users group and have the Load/Unload Device Drivers user right. The Load/Unload Device Drivers user right is a Group Policy setting.

    Note To assign this user right, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, click Run, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.
    2. Click Computer Configuration, click Windows Settings, click Security Settings, click Local Policies, and then click User Rights Assignment.
    3. Go to policy Load/Unload Device Drivers user right and By default, only administrators have this user right. Add Power User group
By default, only administrators have this user right. In Windows 2003, Power Users can obtain the same user right to install or modify a local printer as they had under Windows 2003 if the administrator explicitly grants this user right to them.

How to access FTP site from LINUX & WINDOWS machines thru command line.

How to access FTP site from LINUX & WINDOWS machines.

Linux machines

[root@hostname~]#ftp

Eg: ftp 192.168.0.250
Eg: ftp Servername

ftp>

Options
ls --> List the contains of files and directory.
cd --> change directory
put --> to upload single file to FTP Server.
mput --> to upload multiple files to FTP Server.
get --> to download single file from FTP server.
mget --> to download multiple files from FTP Server.
bye --> to quit from FTP server.

Windows machines

Go to Start --> RUN --> Type CMD (Enter)

C:\>ftp


Eg: ftp 192.168.0.250
Eg: ftp Servername
